Proud to have my paper gown accepted as an entry into the Reart Recycling Exhibition, and to have it featured in the publicity!

  • Boxed Lives

After quite a hiatus of creating, I’m pleased to be back in the studio and starting a new series ‘Boxed Lives’. They all have quite a detailed storyline, but the viewer is encouraged to make their own. All made from recycled materials.

  • ‘Remembrance’ headpiece for International Millinery Competition

    Robyn Woodrow 1

This year I again entered the Hatalk Millinery Competition.  The theme was ‘Remembrance’. Below is the explanation of the piece.  No prize, but a great experience. I believe in telling stories through creativity, and this headpiece ‘Lest We Forget’ is a narrative of the events, specific and generic, we recall on Remembrance Day.  Each visual […]

First place at the Immanuel Arts Festival Wearable Art!

Immanuel Arts FestivalI was so excited to win the inaugural Immanuel Arts Festival Wearable Art prize.  All of the entries were fantastic, and the wearable art added an extra dimension to an already fantastic event.

My Black Ballerina dress won the first prize, but my origami wedding dress also received many compliments.

The models on the night made the dresses look wonderful.

You can visit my the Red Zebra Designs Facebook page to see how I made the dresses.  I can’t wait to start on another one.

My Virginal Post (Sounds Awkward!!)

Welcome to the first blog post from me, Robyn, the voice behind Red Zebra Designs.

As I am a virgin blogger, this is a little awkward, a tad uncomfortable, and I feel very vulnerable and exposed.  I’m sure in hindsight, I will look back with some embarrassment, but with a warm glow of ‘growing up’.   I trust that you will excuse any awkwardness, clumsiness, or inappropriate sharing as I strive to find what you want.  Please be gentle, but let’s not hold back on getting excited.

It’s probably appropriate that I properly introduce myself as we may have only just met.  Please visit (link to about us page) to find a bit more about me, my interests, my style and … well … more

Please join me on this blogging journey – I’d really appreciate your company.  Hopefully I can introduce you to some great products, provide engaging entertainment and inspiration, and offer some relief from the occasional banality of life; and I’m sure you can provide me with the same.   Please subscribe to my blog and let’s see where the Red Zebra goes!

I’d also love to hear about your ‘first time’ experiences (within PG limits of course!).
